Dias de los Muertos

Day of the Dead in Mexico: Through the Eyes of the Soul (Mexico City, Mixquic and Morelos), by Mary J. Andrade, published by La Oferta Review Newspaper, Inc. in 1996. One of a series of five books published by this company focusing on Day of the Dead celebrations in different areas of Mexico, the emphasis here is on the superb color photos, although the text is also very good.
Day of the Dead in Mexico: Through the Eyes of the Soul (Michoacan), by Mary J. Andrade, published by La Oferta Review Newspaper, Inc. in 2003.
Day of the Dead in Mexico: Through the Eyes of the Soul (Oaxaca), by Mary J. Andrade, published by La Oferta Review Newspaper, Inc. in 2002.
Day of the Dead in Mexico: Through the Eyes of the Soul (Puebla, Tlaxcala, San Luis Potosi, Hidalgo), by Mary J. Andrade, published by La Oferta Review Newspaper, Inc. in 2001.
Day of the Dead in Mexico: Through the Eyes of the Soul (Yucatan), by Mary J. Andrade, published by La Oferta Review Newspaper, Inc. in 2003. This book includes information on the relationship between Dia de los Muertos and the Mayans.
The Vigil of the Little Angels: Day of the Dead in Mexico, by Mary J. Andrade with illustrations by Jose J. Murguia, published by La Oferta Review Newspaper, Inc. in 2001. Lovely book for children, informative for adults.
The Skeleton at the Feast: The Day of the Dead in Mexico by Elizabeth Carmichael and Chloe Sayer, published by University of Texas Press in 1991. Probably the best book on the Day of the Dead, also beautifully illustrated.
